Rules For Registration
- Microchip Required: All dogs and puppies must be microchipped with an ISO standard microchip prior to registration. The microchip number will be used to identify your dog across this platform, and will be used to verify ownership and registration status.
Microchips can be obtained and administered by a vet, or they can be purchased online and administered by the dog’s owner.

Deceased individuals without a microchip will receive an identification number. - Age: Minimum age for registration is 6-weeks old.
- Breed Type: All registered dogs must generally fit the standard for the Traditional type of American Bully. TABKC reserves the right to reject or suspend registrations due to incorrect breed type.
- Pedigree: All dogs must be registered with UKC and/or ABKC as American Bully breed prior to registration with TABKC, unless both parents are already registered with TABKC. American Pit Bull Terrier paperwork is not accepted. Generally, Traditional type American Bullies are in the Classic or XL classes in other registries.
- Ownership: You must own the dog you register. Registering someone else’s dog is prohibited. Your own real name must be listed as the registrant on all records for any dogs you register with TABKC.
- Co-ownership: There are no co-ownership registrations. Any co-ownership agreements must be handled privately between the parties involved. TABKC will not be middle-man in any co-ownership disputes or agreements. It is up to you to decide privately which individual will be solely listed as the owner on record.
- *Dual-Sired Litters: Dual-sired breedings are not recommended. Litters with multiple sires must be DNA tested to determine the parentage of each puppy in the litter. The litter will then be split, and the puppies will be grouped by sire. Each group will then be registered as a separate litter.
- Ancestry: Any dogs with unknown ancestry in their 3-generation pedigree (15 dogs total) will be “Pet Only” status. Dogs with all American Bully ancestry in their pedigrees will be noted as “Purebred“.
- Dog Images: Registration requires 3 images of the dog or puppy; one front, and one from each side. The dog must be standing, and the images must be clear.
- Pedigree Images: Each registration requires copies of an existing American Bully pedigree from UKC or ABKC. Copies must be clear and readable. Copies of both sides of the pedigree are required.
- Payment: A registration fee is required for any registration. Secure payments are made through Stripe.
- Suspensions: Anyone whose membership has been suspended may not register any dogs or puppies. Suspended members or their dogs may not participate in any club-sanctioned activities or events.
- “Pet Only” Status: All dogs and puppies are registered as “Pet Only”, unless the owner is a registered breeder. Anyone who wants to breed their dog or pre-register puppies must be an active club member.
- Events And Activities: Dogs must be registered prior to attending any club-sanctioned events or activities.
- Pedigree Certificates: Registration is completely electronic. However, decorative pedigree certificates in different styles can be purchased separately from our store. All records are maintained by TABKC and are available online. You will have access to your pedigree data through your TABKC.com account. You do not have to be a club member to access your pedigree information, or to order a printed pedigree. You will be provided with methods for verifying your dog’s registration status. You will also be provided with methods to prove ownership and registration status of adult dogs and puppies.
- Microchip Number Verification: TABKC reserves the right to request microchip number verification at any time to validate your dog’s identity. Verification may be requested to come directly from your vet, or from an animal control professional, or could be a video of the dog’s owner scanning the microchip.

Breeders
- Breeders must be active club members in order to register puppies. Meaning, club dues must be up-to-date. When the club membership expires, so does the option to register puppies with TABKC. “Pet Only” status will then be automatically applied to any dogs that are registered with the account.
- All puppies must be microchipped prior to registration. The microchip number will be used to identify the puppy across this platform and to verify ownership and registration status.
- Puppies must be at least 6-weeks of age to register.
- Litters can be pre-registered as a group at no less than 6-weeks-old. All puppies are registered using their microchip numbers for identification. Pictures of each puppy must also be submitted. When puppies go to their new homes, their new owners can use the microchip number to permanently register their puppy here. The breeder will then have continued (read-only) access to some of the puppy’s records. This is like visitation rights. The breeder may choose to be permanently listed on the microchip registration along with the new owner. This is helpful in case a dog becomes lost, stolen, or abandoned.
- *Refer to the “Dual-sired Litters” rule for registration.
- Puppy registrations can be designated “Pet Only”. Meaning, no offspring from a “Pet Only” dog can be registered.
- Both the sire and the dam must be registered with TABKC prior to any offspring registrations.
- If the sire and dam are separately owned, then both owners must be registered TABKC members, and both owners must sign for the pre-registration of the litter.
- The dam’s owner is responsible for the litter pre-registration. However, the sire’s owner must also approve the pre-registration.
- TABKC will not be a middle-man in any litter ownership disputes, stud service disagreements, pup-back deals, etc. Any agreements or disputes between breeders must be handled privately between the involved parties.
- Breeders can generate temporary verification codes for their clients. Clients can then use the verification codes to electronically verify a breeder’s ownership, membership status, and a dog’s or puppy’s registration status.
- Breeders are expected to be ethical and moral in their conduct and in their treatment of animals. TABKC reserves the right to temporarily or permanently ban or suspend breeders for misconduct.
TABKC reserves the right to temporarily or permanently ban or suspend club members for any reason without notice.
